We Love Rainier WA Kicks Off SMART Drive to Support Local Teachers
We Love Rainier WA is excited to announce the launch of the SMART Drive (School Materials and Resources for Teachers), a community initiative designed to support teachers and classrooms at Rainier Elementary School. Kicking off on International Day of Education, this drive marks the second of five community service projects planned for 2023.
As the school year progresses, teachers often find themselves running low on essential supplies, with no choice but to cover the costs themselves. To ease this burden and support local educators and students, We Love Rainier WA is rallying the community to collect much-needed items that will help sustain classrooms through the end of the school year.
A full list of requested supplies can be found on We Love Rainier WA’s Facebook page and on flyers posted around town. Flyers are also available at City Hall. Community members can drop off their donations at Rainier Senior Center, Old Town Bark and Supply, Turner Automotive, or City Hall.
We Love Rainier WA is proud to be a community enrichment organization serving the Rainier area. Through initiatives like the SMART Drive, they continue their mission of strengthening community ties, supporting local schools and organizations, and fostering collaboration. Together, we can ensure Rainier remains a strong, united community for everyone.
